Mohammad Hamid Ansari is an Indian Politician. He has served for the 12th Vice President of India from 2007 to 2017 as the former Indian Foreign Service officer. His political party is Indian National Congress. In the year 1993 to 1995, Hamid Ansari served as the Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations. In the year 2006, he became the the chairman of India’s National Commission for Minorities.
He has also served as the Indian Ambassador to various Foreign Countries such as United Arab Emirates in the year 1976 to 1980, Australia in the year 1985 to 1989, Saudi Arabia in the year 1995 to 1999, Afghanistan in the year 1989 to 199o, Iran in the year 1990 to 1992 and many other countries.
